Oracle and SQL account(June 19, 2014)

Dear CSE 5331 students:

It seems that each of you will have to request n account individually for Oracle and MySQL from helpdesk@uta.edu. When I requested the accounts for the classes, I got the following reply:

Dear Ramez,

Unfortunately, due to security purposes, we are unable to activate Oracle and Sql accounts for your classes:

CSE3330

CSE4331

CSE5330

CSE5331

In order to activate a Oracle or SQL account the request would need to come from the individual student - we then in turn, would send them instructions on how to access Oracle/ SQL as well as their initial password from their student account to either their Mavs email address or email address we have on file.

The Omega/Gamma account is already activated on the students accounts their current NetID and password is also valid for these two accounts. (For forgotten NetID passwords, go to http://www.uta.edu/selfservice). They will need to use SSH (Secure Shell) to be able to login to the servers.
