Test 1 grades is now online. For those who have not send me a secret alias (a word starting with a letter and more than 5 characters), please send me as soon as possible. Updates in scores database are done only on Friday or when grading is just released.

Dr. Elmasri will discuss the solution in tomorrow class (Oct 7). You can read your paper in the class. For enquiries on my grading, please use a pencil to write on the first page. I will review it later.

I will move to my new GTA office from now on. Please find me at 105W, Engineering Annex – West Building at my office hours.

Test 2 date is changed to Nov 6. Detailed information will be posted later.

Message #8: On Oct 9

You are given 10 days to check your paper from the release date of Test 1 scores. No more modification to scores is accepted after Oct 17.

Project 1 is graded. Please check your e-mail for marking (people having full marks will not be e-mailed) and online grades.

You are given 10 days to check your project 1 grading from the release date of Project 1 scores. No more modification to scores is accepted after Oct 30.

Project 2 is now posted. The database files and the SQL queries will be given out later. Please form a group of at most 2 students and notify me by email before Nov 11. Project 2 is due on Nov 25.

Test 2 chapter listing is posted. Please notice that the venue will be changed to Geoscience Room 100 (that is, 100 GS). (It is at the south of Nedderman Hall)

We need to collect some database files for project 2. Please follow the instructions and fill up some data at the data collection page.

Test 2 grades are released. Please check your grade online and attend the classes in this week.

Please be reminded that no more modification on test 2 grades is allowed after Nov 30.

Project 2 and Test 3 grades are already posted. Please check them online. Your final grade will be calculated as:

Final grade = proj1 * 15% + proj2 * 25% + (test1 + test 2 + test 3) * 20%

Cutoff grades will be posted in next week.

If you any inquiry on Project 2 and Test 3 grading, you can come to see me in my office on Dec 9 (Tue) and Dec 10 (Wed) from 4:30 to 6:00pm. No more modifications to grades will be allowed after Dec 10.

Cutoff grade for A is 86. Cutoff grade for B is 71. ie. If you get >=86, you get an A; else if you get >= 71, you get a B.
